Salvador is the largest city in the Northeast of Brazil and the fourth largest city in Brazil. The city is notable in the country for its peculiar cuisine, music and architecture, in addition to having the largest and best carnival in the world!

The historic center of Salvador - Pelourinho - is renowned for its colonial Portuguese architecture with historic monuments dating from the 17th and 19th century and was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1985.

Salvador is located on a small triangular peninsula that separates the Todos os Santos Bay from the open waters of the Atlantic Ocean.

One of the main postcards of Salvador is Farol da Barra, also known as Farol de Santo Antonio. When we talk about what to do in Salvador, the first attraction that comes to mind is this Lighthouse. It is located in the Barra region, and is built inside the Santo Antônio da Barra Fort, which also has the Nautical Museum of Bahia. Without a doubt, Farol da Barra is one of the most visited sights in Salvador visited, and also one of the most beautiful.

Pelourinho, a world heritage site is full of colorful colonial buildings and magnificent churches. It is worth spending an afternoon enjoying the cobbled sidewalks and looking at the ancient architecture of Pelô. You will be able to observe the cultural centers and schools of music, dance and capoeira.
